Fixed Trade Calculator

The ATI has today launched a Fixed Trade Calculator to support the UK aerospace sector, particularly those organisations that don’t have easy access to simplified trade-off study capabilities.

The Fixed Trade Calculator enables assessment of the impact of novel technologies on representative conventional narrow- and wide-bodied aircraft. It provides users with the fuel burn benefits, operating cost changes and environmental impact (in terms of CO2) that can result from introducing new technologies onto these aircraft.

Continuing high demand for NATEP support

By the deadline for Call 7 project applications on 11 August, outline applications were received from 40 collaborative technology projects involving 92 supply chain companies, 11 University and Catapult Centres.   The projects received support from many Prime and Tier 1 companies including Airbus, Boeing, Rolls-Royce and GKN. This demonstrates the continuing demand from the UK aerospace supply chain for grant funding support to develop exciting new product and process technologies.

The next Call for project bids will open on 5 January 2018. Details will be announced on the website
